NIC Chile informs that a new dedicated server providing DNS service for .CL domain names is now in operation. Located in Culpeper (Virginia, USA), it belongs to an anycast cloud under direct control of NIC Chile. The server is hosted by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the organization in charge of root DNS administration.
