NIC Chile informs that this morning, starting at 10:30AM CLT and during 2 hours aproximately, one of the more than 50 DNS servers that resolve .CL domain names, had some operational problems. The server is located in the city of Valparaiso, Chile, and operates under direct control of NIC Chile. This malfunction affected the normal name resolution process for queries that were answered by that specific server. During this period, the other DNS servers for .CL worked normally, and everything was back to normal by 12:50PM CLT.
NIC Chile regrets this anomaly, and is analyzing what happened, in order to take appropiate actions to prevent the repetition of this kind of problem.
