NIC Chile collaborates in the 5th version workshop on illegal Internet content: 'Approaches to Internet Security'

The fifth version of the workshop "Approaches to Internet Security" takes place in Santiago, Chile during the 21st and 22nd of November. The workshop is sponsored by the Internet regional technical community, together with NIC Chile.

Thanks to LACTLD's initiative, this meeting was first held in 2019 as a place for connection-making as well as a space for strategic relationships between judges, prosecutors and law enforcement officers with expertise of organizations who take part in Latin America's and the Caribbean's digital ecosystem, which are involved in the integrity, stability and reliability of both the Domain Names System (DNS), and the Internet.

This two-day workshop agenda includes an update on how digital crime has evolved, and new technology that criminal organizations utilize, as well as mechanisms and international cooperation systems used against it, considering the best protocols used by institutions to confront this situation in an organized and up-to-date manner.

In addition, the program will explore key aspects about the Internet functioning, Domain Names System (DNS), ecosystem organizations, and different ways of meeting and contacting the individuals responsible for online content.

"Approaches to Internet Security" is made possible thanks to the work and efforts of LACTLD, LACNIC, NIC Chile, ICANN, NIC .BR, Public Internet Registry and Internet Society. You will find more info on the workshop at
