The eleventh session of the meeting of academic women, students and professionals in the field of computer science in Chile (https://chilewic.cl/) will take place on December 1 at the University of Santiago de Chile. The event is made possible thanks to the support of NIC Chile and higher education institutions.
ChileWic's goal is to increase participation and permanence of women in study programs and careers related to computing and technology, seeking to make the work they do visible in these areas, both in academia and industry, at the same time, encouraging the creation of support networks.
The agenda of this meeting will feature the traditional student competition, to which are added two discussion panels and keynote talks by the Undersecretary of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, Dr. Carolina Gainza, and the academic of the University Catholic of Chile and IMFD researcher, Dr. Jocelyn Dunstan Escudero. The Women in Computing Meeting is a free activity, with prior registration at http://bit.ly/CHILEWIC-2023, and takes place on Friday, December 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Ingeniero Ramón Escobar Inostroza Auditorium of the University of Santiago de Chile, located in the Teaching Innovation Rooms building (Avda.
